Investing and Trading in Cryptocurrency
Fundamental analysis in cryptocurrency assesses intrinsic value by evaluating the protocol’s technology, the team and community, real-world utility, market potential, and tokenomics. It’s a framework for forming long-term conviction beyond short-term price moves.
Examine core architecture: consensus, security model, scalability approach, client implementations, audits, and upgrade cadence. Strengths and tradeoffs here often determine durability.
Look for experienced builders, open governance, transparent roadmaps, and active contributor sets. Healthy communities ship, maintain docs, and support ecosystem apps.
What problem is being solved? Is there product–market fit? Clear utility (payments, DeFi collateral, data oracles, infra, gaming, identity) tends to support sustainable demand.
Estimate addressable markets, growth vectors, partnerships, distribution, and regulatory tailwinds/headwinds. Adoption curves matter as much as tech.
Analyze total/circulating supply, emissions, unlock schedules, treasury, burn/buyback mechanics, staking yields, and value accrual to the token vs. the protocol.
Up next, we cover Risk Management Strategies: sizing positions, setting invalidation points, using stop orders, and building portfolios that can survive volatility.
